Indigenous Peoples' Day weekend is a great time to visit our museum. Learn about the more than 12,000-year history of Connecticut’s Indigenous inhabitants, as well as their vibrant contemporary cultures. Museum educators and docents will be offering introductory tours of the museum and replicated Algonkian village.

Want a deeper dive? Test out your understanding of local Native American history and culture through our Quest Across Quinnetukut trivia game. This is also one of your last opportunities to see the temporary exhibit Naqutiwiwok/Continuance: Connecticut’s Tribal Communities Create while it is at our museum and currently on display in our Darlow exhibit space.
